One out of three people lives without a sanitary facility. This causes unnecessary illness and death. Although great efforts have been made to ensure access to clean, potable water, the lack of sanitation undermines this progress.

Verlab Institute with the expertise of its staff in the field of #ecology & #biology works on a series of scientific research projects with the purpose of protecting, preserving and improving water quality, thus pointing out the importance of a healthy life for every individual.

We use science to help preserving biodiversity in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s national parks, as well as to foster bioremediation of river Miljacka in Sarajevo City.
