COST Academy hosted a training session titled "How to give a scientific presentation with an impact" on March 1st at its premises in Brussels.
During this training, participants learned how to present their Action network research clearly and convincingly, tailored to the needs of the target audience. They acquired skills to effectively address questions and challenges during presentations, as well as to adapt presentation styles to different cultural contexts. Additionally, the importance of using visual aids to enhance clarity and capture audience attention was emphasized. Strategies for maintaining audience engagement through interactive elements during presentations were also discussed. At the end of the training, participants received feedback and advice for further enhancing their presentation skills, with an emphasis on continuous learning and adapting to new challenges in communicating scientific results.
Dr. Lejla Gurbeta Pokvic, the Director of Verlab Institute, and Dr. Adna Ašić, a scientific collaborator, participated in the training. They had the opportunity to hone their presentation skills and learn how to effectively communicate scientific discoveries to researchers, industry representatives, and the wider public.
New connections were established with representatives from various industries and scientific research fields for future collaboration.
