In March of this year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, visited Bosnia and Herzegovina and stayed at the Embassy of Slovenia in Sarajevo. Her visit included a series of meetings with various representatives from social, academic, and cultural sectors.
Minister Fajon had the opportunity to engage in discussions with entrepreneurs, academic experts, and representatives of cultural institutions. An important part of the visit was a meeting with the director of the Verlab Institute, Dr. Lejla Gurbeta Pokvić, who presented initiatives aimed at digital and green transformation. The Verlab Institute stands out for its commitment to promoting innovation and progress in the fields of digitalization and sustainability. This initiative aligns with the goals of the European Union, and Dr. Gurbeta Pokvić emphasized the importance of participating in EU funding programs as a crucial step towards achieving these goals.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues crucial for the future of Europe were discussed. The need to strengthen cooperation between countries was emphasized, as well as the importance of enhancing political, economic, and cultural ties between Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This visit represents an important step towards deepening international cooperation and strengthening ties between the two countries, confirming the commitment of both sides to enhancing partnership in various fields.
