We are pleased to share that our Senior Expert Associate, Dr. Lemana Spahić, participated in the consortium meeting of AI4NICU COST Action (CA20124), held from July 8th to 10th, 2024, in Turin. This event was a unique opportunity for collaboration and knowledge exchange with members of the MSCA PARENT Project consortium and served as a platform for advancing innovative research initiatives in the field of medical technology.
Dr. Lemana Spahić delivered an outstanding presentation on the application of artificial intelligence in medical image processing, leaving a strong impression on the attendees, with a special focus on the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders. Her presentation covered the latest techniques and tools in this field, highlighting how AI can significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic procedures.
We are particularly proud that the results of the work supported by the Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) grant from 2022, which allowed Dr. Spahić to visit Alexandra Maternity Hospital in Athens, have resulted in a project of great importance to the research community and medical practice. During this visit, Dr. Spahić collected key data that contributed to the development of advanced diagnostic and treatment systems, with the potential to transform the way we approach patient care.
Verlab Institute continues to pioneer in the application of artificial intelligence in medicine, remaining committed to enhancing diagnostic technologies that will improve the quality of life for patients worldwide. Through continuous research and innovation, we strive to lead in implementing technological solutions tailored to the needs of modern medicine.
